A friend saw the ad for a free dog in a local newspaper and knew that I needed a buddy, my previous dog of 17 yrs had been gone for a year. When I met Bella she was out of control about a year old. She was very hyper, lacked training, house manners, shedded like crazy, got into to everything, did not listen, not crate trained, everything that I did not want. She grew up in a basement with little socialization. Every day was stressful coming home to new destruction. Bella was extremely smart and I would like to say that after months of patience on my part we learned to coexist. Truth is I had never had a dog like Bella and wanted to give up on her several times but thankful that I didn’t. Bella taught me alot about patience, loyalty and love. Over the years she learned manners and calmed down but would still get in the fridge, cupboards or anything else that I forgot to secure before I left for work. She made me laugh daily with her antics and was always there with a happy dance when I came home. I miss my buddy who was always guarding me and was forever my shadow. When it is my time, i hope that my first stop will be at the rainbow bridge to see my girl.
