Laci came to us during the summer. We got her from an adoption event at a local pet store in Grand Blanc. She was a companion to us and to our beloved Chloe. From the very first day she was always by our side, loyal and a bit crazy. She was the baby Chloe could never have. Always taking care of each other and us. After Chloe passed two years ago, Laci became the only fur baby in our house. But she changed roles a bit. Always needed to be loved but now she gave so much to our hearts. She was the shadow of my wife, everywhere she went, Laci went. During her life she suffered a knee injury to both back legs. but that didn’t stop her from running around like a crazy dog! Until a few weeks ago she was spunky, then we noticed a decline in her health. She always want to be by our side and be apart of the family. In the end an infection and seizures is what took her. I think of this now, Laci reminds me of lace, because the intricate weaves and patterns on lace create something beautiful. That’s how Laci was for us. A beautiful intricate creature that God created to weave into our hearts to make our lives precious and joyful!
