It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye for now to Riley, our beautiful 12-year-old permanent puppy and best buddy. Riley, a morkie, was welcomed to her new family as a sweet sixteen gift for her big sister Michelle. From a young age Riley was very intelligent, as she learned many tricks from her older brother Nathan. She also loved to run freely chasing small critters such as chipmunks and rabbits. She even chased larger game like groundhogs – thank goodness she never caught one. But most of all, Riley was happy and content as long as she was near her human momma. They took countless walks together and enjoyed exploring new places. Whatever momma was doing, Riley had to be nearby: sitting in the sun or on the couch, working in the garden, sleeping, eating, and especially playing in the snow. At 3-years-old Riley received a new human daddy, and they quickly became the best of friends. Riley would often sleep nestled tightly against her daddy on cold winter nights. In recent years three grand babies joined the family, and Riley loved to interact with and protect them. Riley slowed down a lot this last year, but she remained an integral part of her family. We will miss her greatly, but she will remain forever in our hearts. We love you good girl, and we look forward to some day reuniting in Heaven.
