We first adopted Bear who howled for about a week. We decided to get him a playmate, went back to the shelter and found out he had a kennel mate (Sasha). The shelter allowed us to adopt her for free. At the time, she was already 6 1/2 years old. She and Bear were so happy to be reunited. My husband called her our bonus dog. When she passed, she was 14. Although we have another dog, when I came home, Bear was looking for her. 🙁
