We went to a rescue group for a dog. They convinced us that the 7 month old tuxedo kitten had bonded with the 6 year old dog we wanted. I must have had “sucker” stamped on my forehead because we brought them both home. Best decision I could have made. Sassy has been with me over 17 years and she has been my perfect loving companion. I will miss our together time and all the times she has made me laugh. The vet came to my home to help her on her way and as she passed, my radio station happened to be playing “Over the Rainbow”. An appropriate farewell.
