We adopted Zoe thru Boxer Haven Rescue, just as we had her brother Kenny Rogers previously. When we 1st went to go see her at her foster parents house. She was so cute, but Kenny didn’t really want to play with her he was more interested in the other dog that the foster parents had. My husband wasn’t so sure either about her. She was very skittish, and seem to be running away from us a lot, but we found out that she had been a puppy that ran away and had been out on the streets on her own for about 6 weeks before she was caught, and the original owner didn’t want her back either. I felt I needed to give her a 2nd chance at a loving home. We agreed to take her for the weekend to see how her and Kenny would get along with out another dog to distract him. That was all it took she quickly fit in snuggled up to Kenny all the time, much to his dismay she was stuck like glue to him. She also melted our hearts, and I could not take her back she was here for good. I never had a dog that wined as much as she did, she was definitely high maintenance. She wanted to be the center of attention all the time, oh but that pouty face she would make when she wanted something you could not ignore. She will be forever in our hearts, and I’m sure she is snuggled up to Kenny right now in heaven. Rest in peace my baby girl.
