Bailey was the most amazing dog! Our family is so thankful and blessed to have had ten (almost 11) years together. The ten years of Baileys’ life brought us so much joy making new happy memories each day. It was Bailey’s world, and we were living in it 🙂 She was a unique dog with a hilarious personality(s). Every day she went on a car ride, we had a futon in the back of my jeep for her, and the truck had both seats up with a foam mattress and blanket, so she had room and was comfortable. She loved her car rides every day, especially her head out the window, sightseeing, looking for deer; it didn’t matter as long as she was with her family. If Bailey did not go for a car ride, she would tell you by snapping her teeth, trying to talk, and then go to the door and bark, so we always went; it was her routine. We took her everywhere we went; I am sure people said, “How come they can never leave their dog at home,” but we couldn’t. She was a part of us; why wouldn’t we include her. Bailey loved to go on walks at her favorite spots on the trails or be at home wrapped in her queen-sized blanket that she kneaded every day. When she was a puppy, she took the brand new queen blanket off the bed and would shake it, bury herself in it, and suck on it. Imagine what that blanket look’s like; after ten years, we will put it in a box. We will never get rid of that special blanket. She would drag her blanket around the house and a few times pulled it outside and played dug of war with me as I tried to take it back inside. She liked to be the center of attention, especially when someone came over. All who knew Bailey loved her. Bailey was beautiful with a pink nose. One day sitting at a red light, Bailey had her head out the window. My husband and I heard the little kid say to his dad, “Dad is that a pig-dog” she was gorgeous, about 100 pounds with thick gorgeous different shaeds of reddish, white, and yellow fur, which is woven into everything, so there will be Bailey fur around here for a while which is great.Bailey grew up bouncing on the trampoline and would use the trampoline and the top of the picnic table to lay on and high off the ground to look around. Bailey loved to put her head in the water at the beach or lake to collect rocks and sometimes brought the rocks home, and we put them in her pool. She would play with rocks by throwing them in the air, trying to catch them, or playing soccer using her paws. Bailey always put clothes from the laundry basket in her mouth, gloves, and hair accessories, and if we tried to take them, she wouldn’t let us; it was the cutest thing ever. Bailey had a pair of socks and a mitten in her mouth one time; she was funny. I could write a book about Bailey, the most beautiful, most remarkable, loyal, happiest, loving dog on this planet. We had ten years of incredible memories that we can cherish for a lifetime. I cannot wait to kiss her head again and tell her how missed she was and that I love her so much. Everything we did was for Bailey, and she knew how much she was loved, which made her who she was, the BEST DOG EVER!
