Our family rescued Gabe (Mr. Bean) from a shelter back in 2010 and we instantly fell in love with him once we walked back to look at the dogs and looked into his cage and saw this small little brown dog with a giant cone around his head. Both my sister and I begged for our mom to let us take this dog out and play with him because we just couldnt take our eyes off him. To this day I am so grateful that we did because as soon as we got outside to play with him, Gabe was snorting and sniffing the ground and us like crazy and running up and down the play area doing somersaults because he kept getting his cone stuck on the ground! But he did not care he got right back up and got right back to what he was doing tail wagging even faster than before. We fell in love with this little corky goofball and adopted him. Growing up with Gabe was the best thing I could have ever asked for. He was my best friend! The deep long conversations, the naps together, sleeping in my bed, licking the tears off my face when I was sad, playing hide and seek and tag, playing tug of war and watching you chase after your one and only favorite raccoon toy, snorting away when you were happy, snoring louder than a 200 pound man when you would sleep, coming to cuddle with me when my anxiety was bad, running away to go say hi to people and explore. You loved exploring! The yearly camping trips and road trips you came along on, sleeping in the hammock together, playing soccer together, the late night drives we would take with the windows rolled down and music blaring, or when you tried making friends with the cats and started slowly acting like a cat, kneading and laying on the back of the couch just like the cats did, even trying to befriend them just to get smacked in the head lol you never gave up and always put on fight for things you cared about! Just being the light in everyones life. You never failed to make anyone smile, laugh, or roll their eyes because of how much of a goofy goober you were! Watching you grow up with me and gain this great bright sweet loving goofy personality and being able to call you my best friend is such an unbelievable honor, you helped me in so many ways Mr. Bean and I will forever be grateful for your love and friendship.
