Vegas Louie Kruse, had many many names and he would turn his head and look at you every time each name was called. I called him Louie or Lou Lou a lot, and he was our family and very best friend. I am his mommy, I met Vegas 8 years ago right after I met my now husband, Dan. Dan and Vegas were best buds and he told me Vegas was a very special dog. Boy was he right! Daniel picked out Vegas as a puppy with his late fianc, after his late fiancs passing both Vegas and Dans hearts were shattered. Vegas waited at the window for her for weeks, and eventually realized she wasnt coming back.Fast forward a year after that.my son who was 4 then, 11 now and myself came into Vegas and Dans lives. I knew and Dan knew we were all meant to be a family. Vegas was a loving, compassionate, loyal, playful and fun fur pup! He had a beautiful dog soul and he actually made me a better person, he brought out everything good in me and then some. He was a strong and wise dog, he had spunk and life in him until his last day. Vegas would be by my side at home all the time, go places with me and he highly enjoyed his walks, car rides, go on our pontoon, sitting in the sunshine on porch, playing tug of war with his brother Marcus, listening to daddy play guitar, chase around the squirrels. When we moved a year and a half ago, he was so thrilled to be in his new bigger house with us. He enjoyed running around the bigger yard, sitting on the porch with mommy and loved seeing people and dogs walk by. He loved the lake across the street and me and him would sit and watch the sunset a lot, while waiting for daddy to get home from work. He loved swimming in our old pool as well, he would even sit on a float next to me in the pool. I just could go on and on.he was the best pet and dog I could ever ask for. We were all blessed to have him and to make him.Vegas passed away 2 nights ago in his home and took his last breath in my arms. We are heartbroken because we lost our family, our love. His last day was so special to all of us and I hope it was for him too. He got to go with mommy to drop brother off at school, go on a car ride with mom later, go for his last bike ride in basket, watch his last sunset on the porch while waiting for daddy. When daddy got home he ran up to daddy and was so excited to see him. At night he played with us and eventually laid down. I cant talk about his passing much, its very hard.but I will say Im grateful to have had him home with all of us. Im grateful we gave him so much love and more, all the yummy treats he could eat, all the toys he loved to play with and all the cuddles and kisses I’ll never forget! Til we meet again some day my sweet Louie! Mommy, Daddy and Brother love you to the moon and back, always and forever!
