Our sweet Walter, peacefully left this earth- it was an honor to have him be part of our family. We had been wanting to get a companion for Sophie, when Walter suddenly wandered into our lives. What we didn’t know is how much our family needed him. He wasn’t everyone’s favorite dog, and he never tried to be. Walter kept his family close to his heart and was fiercely protective of those he loved most. He followed Mary around the house like a shadow and enjoyed going on adventures with Brian. He was ecstatic when he became a big brother to Calvin, and then Leo, and then Avery. He always treated his siblings as his own and enjoyed their willingness to share their snacks with him. Walter was a simple dog, who loved nothing more than going for a walk, to the beach, or the park- anyplace he could sniff around. We will forever miss you Walter but are so very grateful you chose us to be your family. You filled our hearts and our home with so many great memories that will last a lifetime. In honor of Walter, please take a few minutes of your day, to take some deep breaths and appreciate your family.
