Willow’s Incredible Tale or should we say “tail?” This girl was known for being such a HAPPY GIRL that she actually got “Happy Tail” when she wagged her tail too hard, she would break her tail!!! I’m know…we didn’t know this existed either!???? We also didn’t know that such UNCONDITIONAL LOVE on her level could exist from 1 four-legged Baby either!!! We were INCREDIBLY BLESSED with our Sweet girl for 9 AMAZING years and wouldn’t take a single day back for anything in this world! Even knowing the unbearable pain of her loss in our Family…to quote a very wise bear, Winnie the Pooh…”How lucky I am to make saying goodbye so very hard.”
When we “rescued” her…she was almost starved to death and had a completely broken right leg. The surgeon told us that she was a mixed breed of black lab, German Short-haired Pointer, & Greyhound. After being part of her new Family, it did not take long for her “greyhound” lean look to fade away…our baby loved her food and “treatos” & knew how to ask just about anyone who came over for more. She would Happily lead you over to her Treat jar and “show” you how to fill her stuffed turkey toy with treats☺️ Her lab side was obvious when she would loyally check on all “her people” every night before going to bed, and eagerly greet each one of us Every single time we came in the door, even if it was only from walking to the mailbox☺️ We will furever miss our baby girl Willow, there is a deafening sound of silence in our home without the clicking of her pretty little nails that she often had “paw-lished”!!! We are So Thankful to God that He chose our Family to BLESS us with that Very Special baby girl though! You will be furever in our hearts Sweet girl!!!
